Advice/tips welcome!!

Hi everyone! I just started on my weight-loss/tone-up journey, the one I said I wanted to start since I graduated college. I hit the gym today for the first time in ages, and it was HARD.
Here's the basics: I weigh 150, and I want to get down to 130. I also want to tone and tighten everything. Right now, the plan is to work out one hour a day, three days a week. Does anyone have any suggestions for exercises to try for someone starting at square one? What about general motivation? I appreciate it all!

I am just getting back on track myself. I am a big fan of cross training - - combining a cardio component with a strength training move. It really burns calories (according to the fitness metric, this morning I burned over 500 calories) and keep the workout interesting. If you are interested I can send you a few of the routines I have done.0

I weigh about the same and have the same goal. I find it hard to keep motivation up to keep working out and if I don't work out in a few days I find it hard to get off the couch. I do try to eat healthy but my boyfriend eats junk and stays skinny and I pretend I can do that too. I am trying to start with cardio 3xs a week and do some weight training for arms legs back and abs 3-4xs a week. I want to get back to what I looked like when I started college (I used to work out religiously before college and was in great shape). They weren't kidding about the freshman 15 but I think there is also a thing called the sophomore 10.0

Whatever you do exercise-wise--don't be afraid to take breaks and don't try to keep up with everyone else who might be in better in shape.0

Remember it's 70% diet, 20% exercise, and 10% mental. At least for me it is. Every time I want to give up I just have to remind myself why I started in the first place. Also, don't focus on the number on the scale. Take measurements and progress pictures. You can do it.0
