Change in taste or should I say aftertaste.....

It's been a full month of making better choices in eating healthy. Meaning real protien , veggies and 100%whole grain breads, wraps, etc. One thing I've noticed is the "aftertaste" when in Do end up eating processed or white enriched breads/wraps? At my home or eating out etc.
Has anyone who's been here a while experienced this or do I have cancer? AKA acidic mouth?
Note, I have also stopped taking Pevacid for GERD because this new lifestyle, I don't need acid blockers and my stomach is not that full anymore.

The gross fast foods don't taste like they did anymore. I used to love mcdonalds fries - now when I have them (because they still smell fantastic) they just taste like old grease - not appealing at all. I'm glad because it isn't a problem anymore to say "no" to those foods.0

White bread tastes like cotton candy to me now, it just dissolves.. gone, poof. I tried to eat Wendy's and it tasted like a salt bomb. *sob*0

Happens to me all the time, too. I think it's the high fructose corn syrup in a lot of those foods. everything with it tastes sort of like plastic. it really does help me say no to them.0
