When should i reevaluate?

Alright. I joined here last February (with a different username) was pretty constant for roughly six months. Problem was I picked thetwo pounds a week and it had me around 1200 cals a day. Yeah, I lost about 20 pounds but I burned put after. Stopped using mfp and then gained it back.
Now I'm trying a fresh start and changed the goal from 2lbs to 1lbs. I'm 5'5.5" weigh 170 and am aiming for 130 but haven't been below 150 since 8th grade so I have no idea how it will look. I work at a three story assisted living place so I'm running up and down all night long (i work 3-11) . I'm also the single mother of a two year old. So I believe Iam mildly active. I'm trying to get my eating undetermined control for a bit before I throw in organized excersize.
I was just wondering how long I should stick to the 1700cals/a day that mfp set for me.before re-evaluating? I was thinking 6-8 weeks but not sure if that would be too long/ long enough.

I would try 1500 calories, and just eat healthy. Don't eat past 7 pm or before 7 am if you can help it. Only water, not even sports drinks or fruit juice. Try a high protein, med carb, low fat. Eat complex carbs and fruits and veggies. Try to work our 3 times a week for about 30 -60 minutes of cardio and some weight lifting.0

Only drink water, skim milk, and diet green tea. I work 3p-11p so the 7-7 rule won't really work lol. I try to keep my diet pretty diverse. And I'm going to try and slowly bring excersize into the whole equation. thanks for the reply. It's one thing to have it in your head and think it but seeing what you should be doing in plain black and white is a lot more helpful0
