I'm doing this now (in week 4 of 8). Of all the ones I found, this is the only one my hubby would do with me. I like it though I'm not super coordinated. I took only a year of karate when I was a kid so the martial arts part is complex for me. It's fast paced and the instructors are good. I didn't realize I'd need weights but my 10 lbs ones are perfect. Along with the diet I've lost 5 lbs in the 4 weeks and I see more definition in my arms, abds and butt. I have done some aerobic, dancy type workouts too. This one has me sweating more and feeling more accomplished. My hubby and I tried insanity for 2 days and couldn't keep up. This one I still can't complete fully (jump lunges, burpees to jump squats) but I don't want to quit after one day.
I hope this helps. Honestly, I like the weight lifting and if he'd agreed I would have chose pump over combat. I think that'll be next.0 -
Have you done Pump? I am also looking at that.0

I know a lot of people who really enjoy both these programs! Combat is based on martial arts and Pump is high rep weight lifting. Personally, I LOVE P90X! I also have done RevAbs and I'm just starting TurboFire. If you need support for these kind of programs, I'd love to help you!0

I've done body pump. good routine for strength training and toning. tough and challening workouts.0 -
I haven't, looks good though!0

I do both regularly. Combat is an awesome workout if you love martial arts. Very high intensity but fairly simple and easy to pick up. It's my favorite way to work out. I do Pump 2 times a week and really enjoy that as well. I love the music that goes along with the strength training and for me personally it makes weight training more fun to do it in a class.0

I Love tough and challenging and I would do p90x, but my challenge is the time involved. The most I have is an hour, but an hour every morning is hard. I have more time on Sundays. My other challenge with p90x is that I am in an old house with big arched doorways and there is nowhere for a pull up bar with the exception of maybe a bathroom door, which is in the other room. I know it is heavy on pull ups. I have always wanted to do it.
I am loving CLX, and I love weights and and like cardio, but more heavy on weights and less cardio (like CLX)
What I really want is p90x and I wish I could make it work. I just started the Push phase and I am looking to have something ready for me when I am through.
Oh yes, I love the martial arts, but have only done Kung Fi (Ving Tsun) I have no experience with other forms.0 -
I am also wondering about Turbo Fire0

Awesome you are liking CLX! The daily workout of P90X is about an hour. Abs are done every other day which is only 15 minutes. Yoga is an hour and a half! So, time is an issue. You might think about 10 minute trainer. You stack 3, 10 minute workouts throughout the day. Have you thought about investing in a pull up bar you mount to the studs in your home or a standing tower? I have one of those little $20 ones from walmart, it hangs neatly in my laundry room.0

TurboFire is a mix of kickboxing and dancing. It is pretty intense for me I'm not a cardio kinda guy lol! But I'm learning and getting the hang of it. It's tonights workout!0
