green smoothie recipes?

Does anyone have any good recipes for green smoothies? Pinterest has a ton but am wondering which ones actually taste good. Seems like a good way to get extra greens and fruits.

1 1/2 c apple juice
1 c (or a big handful) of fresh spinach
1 frozen banana
Sounds odd, but it's good! I found that apple juice had alot of calories, so I cut it down to 1 c. and that works, too.0 -
I like pineapple, strawberry, and kale/spinach.
My local grocer also carries frozen wheatgrass, which I'll throw in too0 -

I tried Dr. Oz's recipe and really like it:
1/2c kale
1/2c spinach
1c papaya
1 banana (next time I would use 2)!
add ice and blend0 -
Here is my easy recipe:
1 cup of water or low fat milk (I use water)
1 cup of frozen fruit or 1 frozen banana (my fruit of choice)
1 cup of frozen spinach
1 serving chocolate protein powder
1 serving chocolate PB2
It is about 350 calories (a full meal), but it is delicious and it hits the chocolate/ice cream cravings. Also, 1 cup of frozen spinach is a lot more spinach than 1 cup of fresh spinach, fyi. Sometimes I will also do half a banana, half a cup of frozen strawberries, vanilla protein powder and no PB2.0 -

I drink a green smoothie everyday. If you're trying to lose weight, DON'T add juice. It's just empty calories and not necessary.
The easiest green smoothie recipe is:
1 cup of milk (any kind you prefer - as long as it's unsweetened if it's a non-dairy option)
2 handfuls of spinach (you're not gonna taste it anyway so just go for it)
1 frozen large banana (I wait until my bananas get ripe and then peel, slice and freeze them in individual portions).
Blend until nice and smooth and spinach pieces are almost dissolved (this can take up to a minute while increasing the speed of your blender).
That is the most basic recipe. Sometimes when I'm hungover, I add some frozen mango and some coconut water to the recipe above. Sometimes I add frozen berries and protein powder if I'm drinking it after a workout. You can basically build off that initial recipe, but I find the initial recipe to be pretty delicious (frozen banana is key).
You can also REALLY go for it and use kale in place of spinach, just know that you need to cut the ribs off of the kale and process it longer and it doesn't get as smooth as spinach does. Oh, and baby spinach works best. Like I said, start basic and then make it your own.0 -
3oz fresh spinach
1 serving of blueberries, pineapple, or a banana (really any fruit you want it to taste like)
a couple ice cubes if you use fresh fruit instead of frozen.
AND 8oz of nonfat vanilla yogurt, for that protein!
I usually add 2 tbs flaxseed meal to mine for the omega-3's and the fiber.
Very tasty, and filling with the yogurt. I usually have it as lunch, or a snack if I'm working out that day.0 -
I mix it up but today's green smoothie is carrot, broccoli, savoy cabbage, romaine lettuce, cucumber, pineapple, and 100ml of fresh squeezed orange juice. It's a veggie packed power smoothie.0
