Backfire!

I decided to buy a digital scale, instead of using our dinosaur analog one that was hard to read. I'm also the type of person that would like to see the decimal points. The dang new one reads 2 lbs. heavier than the old one!!

Grrrr!!!

  • I don't trust the digital scales, you can step on three times and they will give you a different weight each time. I'm lucky enough to have one of those you see in the Doctors office and it is very accurate. I feel for your frustration because the numbers do matter especially when you first start out.
  • The same thing happend to me when I bought a new one. It's 4 pounds lighter than the Clinic's scale, but it's close enough for me.

So far it's been the same reading every time! I even put all three of my kids on it a few different times and it was consistant. Haha! I wonder if the consistancy will wear off after a while... How much did you pay for the doctor's office kind?

As long as it's consistent, you can adjust in your head. I have the problem of my digital scale never reading the same even when I get on three times in a row! I never know what to put down for my weigh in. I usually just pick the middle number...lol. Mine is a Health-O-Meter and shows body fat %, bmi, water, and bone weight.

Can anyone recommend a digital scale that's consistent?

Mine isn't as smart as yours! It doesn't measure the extras. It's the EatSmart Precision Premium scale. So far is consistent. We'll see if it keeps it up, though.

Haha that happened when I first started dieting, except it was a 5 lb difference. Just look at it this way, it's 2 more lbs you'll be able to add to your total weight loss number in the end :)
