Ingredients:
For the Crust

12 Oreo Cookies, crushed into crumbs
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup Nutella
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) whipped topping*
*For the Whipped Topping

1 (8 ounce/227 g) container of fresh whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 packet of Splenda

For the Garnish

whipped topping, optional
chocolate shavings, optional
toasted, chopped hazelnuts, optional
fresh strawberries, halved, optional

Directions:

1. In a medium bowl, stir together the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Evenly divide the crumbs between your individual serving dishes and press into the bottoms of the dishes to form a crust layer.

2. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat the whipping cream, vanilla and Splenda until soft peaks form (approximately 5 minutes). Set aside for step 3.

3. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and Nutella until smooth. Add vanilla and mix to combine. Using a rubber spatula, fold in the whipped topping until well blended and no streaks remain.

4. Evenly pipe or spoon the filling into individual serving dishes. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

5. If desired, garnish with additional whipped topping, strawberries, chocolate shavings, and/or toasted, chopped hazelnuts.

I would swap organic sugar in instead of Splenda, but this sounds yummy. :] P.S. I have never tried Nutella, but I may buy it now!

I want to lose weight, not stop living my life! Lol. I'm sure a small cheesecake can be easily burned off with a nice workout. xo

As a matter of interest, do you know how many calories are in one serving of the above recipe?
    Thanks

i did a quick calorie check - if you divide this into 8 serves it's roughly 400 calories per serve
  • for 15g of nutella alone the following applies

    Serving Size: 15 g, Calories: 82, Fat: 4.7g, Carbs: 8.6g, Protein: 0.9g

edited to add: I can never just have one spoonful - it tastes too good

I would be inclined to throw in some protein powder to improve the macros ;)

Nice for special occasion. I'm sure I'd have to play with this some. But love the concept.

Betcha if you used non fat cream cheese and fat free kool whip it'd be less. And I agree about adding protein powder.

All in all, this recipe sounds like pure win.

If you use less fat options, like Neufchatel cheese, lite cool whip, low fat cookies and such it comes in at more like 270 calories for 8 servings

This is a yummy recipe and it would not be too hard to lower the calories using a crushed oreo in the bottom of each glass sans butter, and using low fat cream cheese, low fat coll whip and so on. kudos to all of you that can keep a jar of nutella in the house without consuming the whole jar one tablespoon at a time-no can do!

For a healthier option you could also make your own nutella.
