Greek Yogurt "cheesecake"

Does sound delicious...but is anyone here worried about artificial sweeteners? I used to consume these, mainly in protein powder/bars but have recently made the decision to cut them entirely from my diet. They are hidden everywhere, in basically any low calorie, low sugar or diet food and the health effects are just not worth it.
I would rather have the calories in some natural sugar from fruit, or dates, honey, maple syrup, agave (although the jury is divided on this one still!) or the new natural low-cal sweetener stevia leaf extract. Think natural sugar and WHOLE foods!
See these websites for some great info:

Would love to hear anyone's comments0 -
I was personally going to switch from Splenda to Stevia (or Truvia) sweetener. But, I recently found out that I'm pregnant and that the safety of Stevia is unknown for pregnant women. According to the FDA, sucralose (Spenda) is safe for everyone to consume, including pregnant women.
"""""Stevia: This sweetener is derived from a South American shrub. It can add sweetness to foods, but has not been approved by the FDA to be sold as a sweetener. Stevia can be sold as a “dietary supplement” but not as a sweetener because its safety has been questioned when used as a food additive. The safety of Stevia is unknown when used as a sweetener by pregnant or lactating women.""""""
For the Cheesecake recipe, obviously you could substitute for your sweetener of choice... artificial or natural!0 -

Some people just post a "bump" because when you make a post on a topic, it can easily be found later in your "my topics" section.0

Did you stick it in the fridge to chill a bit more after mixing it? And do I have to add the fruit? I have the cheesecake pudding, and the yogurt, but I don't want to add fruit. I love super cold cheesecake, so that's why I was thinking putting it back in the fridge or even the freezer for about ten minutes.0

OK, I'm still playing with this recipe....
My mom left 1/2 of her plain, non-fat Greek Yogurt at my house and I sampled it, didn't care much for the sour taste. (I think I just have to get used it). So, I added a packet of Splenda and a tbs of instant sugar free chocolate pudding (just the mix, not prepared!). The pudding really thickened it up and the texture reminded me of cheesecake. So, then I bought the sugar free cheesecake flavor instant pudding mix to try this:
mix together:
4oz non-fat, plain Greek Yogurt
11/2tbs sugar free cheesecake flavor instant pudding
2 or 3 packets of Splenda
1 drop of vanilla
Stir in a handful of fresh raspberries
Top with 1 crumbled graham cracker sheet
* Obviously, you can adjust the quantities to your own taste, omit/change the fruit or graham crackers.
It's a yummy little treat! I gave some to my husband last night and he loved it too!
I've tried this too, but instead of pudding I added a small amount of sugar free carmel with the graham crackers. Delish.0 -
So I made this this morning with fage 0% fat plain yogurt, but I totally skipped the splenda step [I don't know how I missed it....], so it had kind of a sour aftertaste, but definitely tasted like cheesecake.
I'm going to make it tomorrow and make sure I put splenda in it0 -
