Heavy lifting for women

I'm planing on start lifting heavy weight, at this point Im 5.4 and wight 142 lbs . My question is is it better start lifting when I'm closer to my weight goal or now?

    Yesterday. I started losing more fat when I started lifting. Also, it is fun. Lift as heavy as you can, and enjoy it. Also, enjoy the results!

    Start now! Why wait until you get to a lower weight when you can get to work and start making progress right away?

    Thanks, I know that more muscle you have more fat you burn so maybe that's the answer to my own question :) lol
