I am currently reading "Wheat Belly" and have made a new years resolution to read one book a month on Nutrition or diet books, be they a fad diet or an actual proper nutrition plan. This way I can offer my opinions on some of these diets. I must say that "Wheat Belly" has some very interesting facts in it like wheat originally only having 8 Chromosomes, it now has over 40 since man has made it a higher yield. I still have no opinion on the book as I am still reading it. I highly reccomend educating yourself on proper nutrition and even the fad diets so you can help people achieve their goals. Does anybody have any reccomended reads?

I don't have any suggestions but I like your idea of reading nutrition books! I've been reading all about FOOD (I finally got my holy grail book set, Modern Cuisine, and have loved reading about the science behind cooking and not recipes) I might have to add in some nutrition books later!0

I've been doing the same!
My favorite so far is the Flexitarian Diet book. This book included a 5 week plan with recipes and weekly grocery shopping list. It has good info.
I heard the DASH diet was the #1 diet for last year. It's by something Hellar. It's a diet for lowering cholesterol and blood pressure. It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.
Last weekend, I got Thrive book because CoachReddy had recommended it to me too. I'm busy reading through the Vegetarian Crock pot cook book. Interesting meals to make in your crockpot!
Go to your local library if possible! It's free!!!0 -
excellent thank you everybody, the Jillin michaels book I heard is really good!0
