I figure we can all use local support from local people who share the same goals. So wether you are just starting your journey, in the middle of it, or have completed it lets all join together to help each other reach our goals. Nothing like a little support, motivation, or the occasional kick in the butt and who knows maybe some of us can be an occasional walking buddy or something once in a while if close enough...

:drinker: Here is to the rest of your life.

I have found a really cool alternative to syrup.... I like to have french toast in the mornings sometime with sara lee delight 45 cal a slice bread but didnt know what to do about the syrup so the other day I took a 1/2 cup of frozzen unsweetened strawberries (this morning blueberries) and warmed them in the microwave then pour the whole thing juice and all on my french toast.. yummmm low cal, actually good for you and get fiber and vitamins what more can ya ask for

Also Dessert: when the rest of the non dieting family is having Ice Cream and sundae's from mc Donalds.. The Fruit and yogurt parfait is only about 160 calories and better for oyu and still taste like a dessert.. I keep Yoplait very vannilla non fat yogurt on had at home as well as bags of frozen unsweetened berries in the freezer so if I want a sweet dessert I can make a fruit sundae at home.. all the sweet natural yumminess with out the guilt

What is everyone up to this weekend? We have 20 acres, so I am going to try to get caught up on the grass! last weekend it was up to my waist...I wonder how tall it is now?!:noway:

BTW Sturgeongal....you are really into fishing I take it? do you fish all year round? for certain fish? do you have a favorite spot you like to go to? etc. We just moved here about a year ago and my hubby and I are looking to get back into fishing again.

HI! I'm in Monmouth (north of Corvallis, southwest of Salem).

Dinner tonight was Gnocchi, 4oz chicken breast, with fake butter and some parmesan cheese. I definately over did it on the parm! Took away from the awesomeness of the Gnocchi. And if I wasn't feeling so lazy, I would have made a side of asparagus.

On the menu for dessert is fruit salad! YUM!

Yea Nicolee516 We do love to fish, mostly Sturgeon on the Columbia River but we occasionally fish for Salmon, bass and soon Tuna on the ocean in August and September when it is calmest. I LOVE yard work in my family I have told the guys NO ONE touches my lawnmower.. I burn 500- 1000 cal doing yard work according to my HRM depending if I just mow or I am weedeating and moving rock around..

This weekend went to Eastern Oregon with Hubby and son,... Great Weekend for relaxing, and hanging with the family, did a little hiking, lots of driving and exploring.... Bad weekend for the diet.. I am probably retaining a ton of water from the salty foods ( hot dogs, chips, P.B. & J. sandwhiches, jerky, Etc.) .. but soo worth it... We went to Succor Creek/ Leslie Gulch on the Owyhee Reservor, then took back dusty gravel roads half way back.. Beautiful desert, saw antelope, and deer. just all around relaxing.

Sprakit.. welcome... Gnocchi sounds yummy going to have to try it some time.
