Calorie vs. macro goals?

My current macros are carbs 45%, protein 25%, and fat 30%. I am consistently going over 1 every day, yet I’m not hitting my calorie goal for the day. I’m typically over on carbs since I love fruit and don’t eat enough veggies. I don't even worry about the sugar. What’s more important: reaching my calorie goal (which is about 100 calories over my BMR) or eating under my macros? The days where I am under my macros, I am eating under even my BMR but if I eat all my calories, I’m over my macro limit. I have about 10 pounds left to lose, so I know I really need to get this down to a science to reach my goals. Feel free to peek at my diary to see what I’m talking about.

You need protein if you are trying to build muscle, so if that is your goal, don't go under on it.
imo, it doesn't matter that much beyond muscle/protein. Make sure you get some good fats and carbs. Eat the fruit you want; it has fiber, too. Hit your calories about right.0 -
