Journey - No really, the band...

I've noticed there's a real Journey subculture on here because of the popularity of everyone using the word "journey" in describing their weight loss path. Also, terms like "Don't Stop Believing" seem to be popular. Well, here's something interesting to think about...

I'm the GM of a large historic outdoor concert venue on a lake in SW Missouri. We are having Journey here on a Friday night in August. I know a lot of people here are friends and talk, but maybe haven't met in person. We are basically in the center of the country. Would anyone have any interest in me putting together a special MFP package so anyone in the online community that wanted to attend and meet their online friends in a safe and fun environment could do so?

Mods, this show will be a sell-out, so please don't bust my *kitten* for "promoting" something on the threads. I'm merely offering to try and block some tickets for fellow MFPers if there's some interest in people getting together and wanting a package that included reasonably priced room accommodations at one of our local resorts.

Thoughts everyone?

    Not sure if everyone could put their serious faces on for that show, but it would be beyond perfect if they could.

    EXACTLY my point. Kind of like dressing up for Halloween....a costume party of sorts. They may be a joke on here, but they still sell $500,000 worth of tickets wherever they go.
