Thinking of trying paleo???

Can anyone provide any tips or advice for someone who may consider this way of eating? And generally a good way to get started?

Its been great for me. Technically i eat primal because i still consume dairy now and then. Basically think fruits, veggies and meat. I have never felt hungry since starting. Look up recipes on pinterest and you will find great stuff. Weight loss aside, cutting out processed foods has given me energy and a clear mind! But the weight loss has been great too. I worked out once last week and still had a 2.5 lb loss which is the highest loss ive ever had in one week.

Is there a limit of the daily carbs allowed with paleo?

I dont think so as long as the carbs are consumed through fruits and veggies. But i might be wrong. For me i eat 1500 on my off days. 2000 cals on my exercise days and eat paleo/primal/gluten free. I only occasionally consume gluten free bread products. Paleo is in my opinion the easiest diet ever and I'm a total sugarholic. But because its so simple its hard to screw up. Plus you can eat bacon on it! Lol!

Thanks. I may have to give this a try and plan out a weeks menu. I tried atkins before and it was just so strick. I like the fruit and veggie options.

If you are trying to lose weight, of course there is a daily calorie limit. Eat more then you need, you'll gain weight, no matter what you are eating.

As for carbs, that depends on the person and how strict you are.

The forums can be a pretty scare place to bring up Paleo, check out the group though: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/54-primal-paleo-support-group
