Hello everyone, I started my weight-loss journey a year ago, by joining a popular weight loss online site. I managed to lose 25 lbs in about 7 months. Since then I've been up & down with the same couple of pounds. Which leaves me 7 lbs from my goal, which is the top end of a healthy BMI. I've already had so many health benefits from changing my habits, & would really like to get these extra pounds off. But I seem to be stuck, so I decided to try this site & count calories for a while.
Would love to hear from anyone who is in the same situation.

That does often happen. Stick to your diet and maybe change a few things so your body doesn't expect all the same routine and foods which should kick start it back into action.

Just as a matter of interest..I have been stuck for nearly two years!! .. :grumble:
  • I lost 25 pounds fairly easily, then it took several weeks to drop those last 5 pounds when I was in WW a few years ago. Those last stubborn pounds want to stick around, but if you add additional exercise and stay strict, you can lose it.

Yup. I am at the last 10 pounds to lose point. While I only had to lose about 25lbs to get to my goal I have been stuck for a month. But I am not discouraged too much. I feel my body just adjusted to the lifestyle change and is rebelling for a bit before it gives up the weight I want it to.
The mid-section is the only place that it keeps on staying.

I have just upped my calories by about 300 (I was at a 600, on average, calorie deficit daily) in hopes that my body will not think it is starving and keep the fat.

I'll give it another month before I make any more changes.
