Women Using Creatine

Hey everyone. I'm a 28 yr old female in the process of losing some serious weight. My CW is 214 and my GW is 135. I do cardio 5-6 days per week and lift weights/resistance training about 3 days per week (and only for about 20-30 minutes). I'm on a 1500 calorie diet and I use Isopure Low-Carb protein shakes.
I would like to incorporate creatine monohydrate into my diet. I would like to know what brand women use and how often you use it? I don't want to "bulk up" but I do know that muscle burns fat so obviously I need it. A friend recommend Creatine x3 Elite Series but the nutrition facts say it has about 200 calories. I'm already drinking Isopure (220 calories) - now I have to do another high-calorie drink?
When do I use creatine? Before workout? Afterwards?
Any advice, tips, suggestions would be appreciated. Also, please advise whether you use the powder or capsule (and again what brand you buy).
Thanks ladies!

Creatine mono is creatine mono.. just buy the cheapest you can find and mix it in with your post-workout shake.
Also, don't listen to your friend.. he/she is a dumb.0 -
I'm a guy, but it shouldn't matter.
GNC Pro Performance Creatine Monohydrate 5000 - 5 Cals per heaping (whatever that really means) tsp. That may be because I'm using the one that's flavored like fruit punch. It is a powder that mixes (somewhat) with water. I usually mix it with 2 cups of water - but I have to shake the heck out of it every time I take a sip.0 -
Its best suggested that you take the Creatine 30 mins prior to your workout and right after.
Some ppl suggest you take it with fruit juice, that's at your own discretion .
Also make sure to drink plenty of water. I would suggest taking maybe 2 grams(powder form) for starters. 1gm before and 1gm post. take mainly on training days.0 -

Not a girl, but I wanted to let you know that I am using a free sample Dymatize Micronized Creatine powder and seeing no effects from it. I did a load phase and maintenance phase and saw no difference in my workout results.0
