Feet Issues

Hi all,

I just started using an elliptical/cross trainer as my main form of cardio exercise. After about 30 minutes on there, i start to get pins and needles numbing sensation in feet... does anyone know what this is... how i can overcome it...

    The easiest way is to keep your shoes loose. I used to have the problem but loosened my shoes which I used to lace like I was walking or running. I have also found that moving your foot (lifting your heel) during the motion keeps the blood flowing.

    I get the same thing! I think it's from your feet sliding forward on the machine pushing your feet forward putting pressure on your toes. I haven't figured out how to stop it so i switched to the Arc machine which is kind of like the elliptical but more like a stepper machine. My toes no longer bother me. I would stop after 30 minutes and give your toes a break, go lift some weights for a few and then get back to it!

    Lift your feet occasionally during your workout or take a 15 second break and stamp your feet. The problem is that you stay with your feet planted for a long period of time, just like standing in one place for a long time without moving.

    Ha! I was also wondering why this was happening! This helps so much! I don't think my shoes are too tight, but I will lift my heel from now on, and hope it improves!

    This advice helped so much, only one minor cramp during my workout. I am always so used to lacing up for basketball to protect the ankles, never would have thought of this on my own.

    Vibram Fivefinger shoes! They are sooooo good for your feet!

    I get it sometimes!! What I do is I move my toes around in my shoes over and over and kinda pick my feet up too haha. I am sure I look redic moving around but it seems to help!! Over time though it has gotten better!! Good luck! =]
