Hi there - has anyone else had confusing results for their BMR? On MFP mine is 1293, on other sites it ranges from in the 1400's up to 2000, all my stats obviously stay the same (5'4, 122lbs, sedentary, 23, F)
How do I work out which is correct?

Do as many as you can, add them up, divide by number of sites and boom!!! Use the average!!!
It's just a guide anyway!!!0 -
There are several different ways of calculating it, but the most accurate depend on having a decently accurate body fat measurement.
In lieu of that, I recommend using the US Navy Circumference method to estimate your body fat, then plugging it into a Katch-Mcardle BMR calculator.
Body fat: http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html

Keep in mind to figure out your daily caloric needs you'd multiply this by a modifier. If you're sedentary, probably x1.20 -
Thanks for those links! The katch-mcardle is coming out at 1300 so I'll use this figure.0
