Post workout protein shake and meal

Just wondering if once you have completed a workout and consumed a protein shake, whether you are then best waiting a while before eating anything else so your body can just concentrate on getting that protein to your muscles ASAP?

First for all, don't forget some carbs post-workout as well. The research supports additional carb intake immediately after your workout, and again a bit later. From what I've seen, the same is true for protein intake. supplement immediately following strength training with a mix of both slow and fast acting protein, and then try to time your meals such that you eat some additional protein an hour or so later.0

Honestly, do what you're comfortable with. You're not going to prevent your body from processing the food just because you eat more of it. A good meal after a workout is a good thing.0
