I'm confusted

been trying to lose weight again while my internet was down and I couldn't use MFP... my calories were below 1200 and I walked everyday which I didn't do when I was using MFP and I hadn't lost a pound... in fact I went up! WTH?

I do know you need to keep your calories at a minimum of 1200 calories in. and if you exercise you still need to make sure that you eat 1200 calories. other wise your body goes in to a 'starvation mode' and you can gain weight, even tho your exercizing. I have been struggling with a pleateau and have had to increase my calories to 1500 and i still exercise the same as before. have lost 1lb this week. there are many links here for 'newbies' that explains all about starvation mode.0
