Advice for weight loss

I am 23, 5'3'' (maybe 5'2.5'' lol), around 140 lbs, and I have 2 young children (3.5 yr old and 18 months). I have always been a skinny girl, between 110-118 lbs but from age 19-23 (now) I have fought being misdiagnosed with depression, have had 2 children and may possibly have narcolepsy (will find out next week!). My body type is strange! I was a size 0-1 before age 19 but am now between a size 7-9, which is not a huge problem for me, although I would like to tone down my inner thighs, under the butt area, and get a butt lift, lol. But from my hips up is my issue. I have no chest (36 B maybe 34 C) but all my weight is in my mid section, back, a little extra in the arms then I'm use to, and my face. I would like to get down to 125/122 as 118 was too skinny for me.
I need some advice on how to do this. I have time constraints due to the kids and the town I'm living in the gym is only open from 6-10 which obviously doesn't work for me, therefore I need some ideas for work out DVDs lasting up to an hour daily (unless I split the workouts and do some in the morning and some at night). I was thinking the 30 day shred, P90/P90x, etc. Also, my husband was in the military so I'm used to grocery shopping 2x a month, which still makes sense today as I get paid bi-weekly. I was on food stamps until this past month, I feel awful saying that, but so much better knowing I make enough not to need the assistance anymore!! I just don't know how to shop, or even cook decent meals, lol.
Any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated, I just want to feel better about myself and I notice it as well as the extra energy when weight loss occurs. I lost 10 lbs between November 1st and December 20th and then gained it back sense then
Thank you all in advance!!!

the fact you have lost weight in the past is motivation knowing you can do it again! just make this time you go at it full throttle and kick your fat in the a55!!!! dont let it beat you or get you down.
As for the cooking, I can't cook for sh1t either but the best thing for it is practice! you can get some low calorie cookery books to help you along the way too!
As for the DVDs? there are free videos on youtube which will have the same effect if you put the effort in!
Its all about lifestlye change. plus if you learn to cook pretty well and have healthy meals, you're whole family will benefit from YOUR dedication!0 -
Can't help much on the workout routines, but do you have a crock pot? They can cook up some nice, healthy bulk meals and they're a money and time saver all in one.0

Congrats on your loss so far, here's a couple ideas I used to stay with it after trying both Insanity and P90x..
- buy a heart rate monitor so you can calculate an accurate calorie burn for whatever you do choose
- beware the P90x and Insanity programs, Great workouts, but their frequency (daily) can leave you with joint pain and ligament injuries. Running their workouts back to back for months is why most mortals can't stay with it - injuries happen/overtraining.
- weight training. You can't get to the iron in the gym, but somehow you have to work in weight training. Lifting/plyo/bodyweight work, something to get you legs/arms/butt/core pumped and growing is essential.
- In lieu of no gym time there are some great alternatives online or downloadable on your phone.. Check out JEFIT, or Skimble for free workout at home apps/programs that are maintainable and won't get you injured. Both are free downloads on your iphone or android -- http://www.skimble.com/ -- jefit.com. Other than that I know the bodyrock.tv series online is super popular for in-home workouts that utilize both strength training and cardio work with minimal equipment needs.
Have fun. It can be an enjoyable journey if you set it up right and make it a part of your life instead of something you're going to do to reach a short-term goal.0
