Hi~ I'm curious for opinions of what the best heart rate monitor may be. Currently I have a New Balance one, and although it did its job, it quit working after about 6 months. I'd like to invest in a quality one as I use it at least 5-6 days a week when I exercise. Thanks for any input.

What type of New Balance HRM do you have? Does it have a chest strap? If it's the N4, you probably just need to replace the battery in either the chest strap or the watch.
But if you want a new one, use the search button here on the forums - tons of info out there on HRMs.0 -
I love my Timex Ironman HRM. Had it for about 6 years now. Just new batteries periodically and a had to replace the strap once....
You know Timex... takes a lickin' but it keeps on tickin'
I, seriously, have worn it 5 days a week for 6 years.0 -
Polar, Garmin and Suunto all make good stuff, just find the one with the features you want.0

If it's not the battery, get one with a chest strap.
My Polar FT7 is great, but I've only had it a month so I can't speak for its durability.0 -
I have the Polar FT4 and am very happy with it.0

Polar FT7.
Whatever you decide, make sure you get one that has a chest strap.0
