Chalene Extreme or Power 90

Does any one have experience with either of these products? I am still very overweight with at least 70 pounds to lose. I consider my fitness level intermediate. I started Jillian's body revolution and got about a month through before I feel it was too tough to go on. I am looking for another product to use before tackling Jillian again. I am considering Chalean Extreme and or power 90. Does anyone have any experience with these products? Any feedback is appreciated espically if you were still obese when you started the program.

I have both and have done both programs (and I have Jillian Michaels body revolutions set, too). Power 90 is very guy friendly, because the cardio moves are basic (jumping jacks, football runs in place), whereas the cardio workouts in Chalene Extreme has a few more complicated punching sequences (created by the woman who created Turbo Jam and Turbofire). Chalene requires a heavier weight set than what Power 90 requires. There are only a few workouts in Power 90 (you rotate a weight workout and a cardio workout everyday) than what Chalene Extreme offers....this could be an issue if you get bored easier. I lost more scale weight with Power 90 than I did with Chalene Extreme, but lost lots of inches with CE. I did Jillian Michaels Body Revolution after Power 90 and felt very prepared. I gained a lot of strength with both programs.0

To clarify, I lost 18 lbs when I did Chalene Extreme (years ago) and I lost 38 lbs when I did Power 90 last year. I would say that my diet was similar in both cases.0

I have not done either, but I have done a few of chalenes turbo fire workouts and I did p90x, my father did power 90 and had a good and time with it and some pretty positive results. id likely lean towards power 90 and then maybe follow through with that to p90x. and if you can just keep stepping it up from there. of course one of the best starting points and most important has got to be diet. but you are using mfp, so you are on the path! just keep it up!0
