So This Is New

Not sure how any of this works yet, but I'm a 33 year old mom of 5 year old twin boys and a 3 month old baby boy. I danced all through my teenage and young adult years and managed to stay pretty muscular during that time. After 4 months of bed rest with my first pregnancy and no time to work out juggling twins, I lost quite a bit of muscle tone.

I also have a pretty huge diastasis recti and of course the dreaded "twin skin". Some days I feel pretty low when it comes to my body, but most other days I realize that my body has been through quite a lot over the past 6 years (2 cervical surgeries, 2 c-sections) so I cut myself some slack. If I figure out how, I'll post before pics. Thanks for reading :).

:) My twins are a month old & I have a 6 yr old & notice we both just started.....good luck. I gained a lot in this last pregnancy & feel a bit overwhelmed in how to tackle it. I am not even allowed to work out yet. I too am hoping this will be a great place to help me get to where I need to be!!!!

Aw, congrats! I always hear it's a lot more challenging to have one and THEN have the twins so best of luck to you. I wasn't even thinking about working out at 6 months PP with my twins. I was basically just trying to keep everyone alive. Are you nursing? If so, I'll tell you that you will lose a LOT of weight keeping up with their demand. once They were around 10 months I was the thinnest I've been since 9th grade (it wasn't pretty). But I was 28 at the time. This time around I gained more weight with one than I did with 2 and nursing is doing nothing in the way of weight loss so far. If you ever need any twin advice, let me know :).

I was on bed rest with my 3rd from 19 weeks to 36 weeks. It left me with no muscle tone whatsoever, so I can relate. I never got back into shape after that pregnancy and now I've just had my 4th. I'm determined to do this so that my kids have an active healthy mom.

Thnx!!!! Nursing has been a challenge...one is & one isn't (they were born at 36 was). I am hoping to be able to nurse ongoing for them & me! I can't wait for Spring to get the double stroller out & walk my butt off...literally.

You are gorgeous! Love your outfit in your pic - and your style! You look like a model. I'm new to MFP, too. I have one child (daughter, 6) so I'm afraid I can't call what I have put on "baby weight" anymore! :)
