Looking for an analysis of my food diary. another set of eyes...or two or ten lol...would be great Ive been here ten days and feel I need to tweek it. I have consistant ly been going over on fat and protein. Pretty sure I need to change some of those calories to veggies.

Really looking for a serious opinion, no scarcasm or bashing please, Thanks!

I was kind of confused because your calorie goal was different each day. I dont think it should fluctuate so much.
The one thing i could suggest is to cut back on the snacks and check what your caloriegoal should be.

Her calorie goal was different each day because she was gaining calories through exercise. Looks like her calorie goal is at 1200 or so and then she works out like a beast and earns more!

Your diary looks really good! I would say that you could try to add more fruits and vegetables. I know that I'm personally not good at it but maybe try something in addition to the banana. Carrots are an easy snack to add during lunch. Also I'm not sure what is in your salads but if it is just lettuce that is an easy place for them. Super healthy though and I like how you fit in chocolate chip cookies once and a while! :]
  • I looked back about 6 days and it looks like you are doing great. I think a lot of snacks is perfect if it works for you. If this is a sustainable diet for you...keep it up.

Only thing i would change is eat more for breakfast (i am not sure when your first snack is). I did not see any eggs on your meals. I would ditch the banana and eat two hard boiled eggs (140 cals) instead.

    Keep it up.

I agree that more fruit and veg would help a lot. I have been losing over the last 6 months by working on a mainly whole food diet trying to avoid processed food as much as possible, lots of meat, fish, egss, nuts, salads, fruit and veg etc. Feel free to friend me if you think I can help xx

I will third on an increase in veggies. You have a calorie deficit that you could add veggies to lunch (on the non-lettuce kind.. it's low cal, but also low fiber and not much for nutrients), and you would still be within cal range.

Your diary looks pretty good. Agree to increase veggies. Also, consider tracking sodium. You look like you'll be OK, but it's good to know where you are at with it.

If you track your fibre as well and aim for around 30 a day it'll help you keep fuller and healthier and the added fruit and veg will help you get there.

Another vote for more veggies. Do u like broccoli, spinach, kale, cauliflower, brussel sprouts? You need some citrus fruit too like oranges, clementines and berries of all kinds will add lots of fiber and variety to your diet.
How about apples and nut butters?

    I think that's great advice!
  • Thanks all for your replys!!
  • I hate to climb on someone else's post but you guys offered awesome suggestions I did a search for "diet analysis" because I am at the end of my rope and was going to take my 6 months of a food diary to a professional and ask for help. I'm not losing anything and I think I am doing the right things.
  • And I cannot figure out how to "share" my food/exercise diary or even a sampling?
