Are the weekends hard for you?

So it's Saturday morning and most of us are faced with the choices of sleeping, being lazy, going for that junk food and in general just not sticking to the plan that you worked so hard on during the week.
Is this you? Do you find it hard to stick with it on the weekends? Why is that?
For a lot of people they have a plan for the week and then forget to make a plan for the weekend. Don't let yourself slip. Set yourself up for SUCCESS!! Have a plan and yes maybe it is modified a bit from the week but none the less have a plan and stick with it. You don't want to undo all the hard work from the week. And if you stick to your plan then it makes Monday that much easy because you aren't starting all over. You are just continuing.
Are you looking for support and help during the weekends or ideas? I would love to chat more!! You can find me on Facebook too!!

For me, it is much easier to stick with my plan on the weekend, and I do better on the weekend.
The stress at work and the temptations that are brought in almost daily by co-workers makes it harder for me, but I generally do ok.
I know that many people have a difficult time with weekends. Over the past year I have learned that I am more of a stress eater. I did not realize that before.0 -
Thanks Kelli!!! What a great thing to read first thing in the morning. You are spot on!0

Ah, weekends are the pits. I cook every meal myself during the week, so weeks are hard as I am at my bf's place the whole time and catching up with different friends (which of course revolves around dining). Dining out with my bf who can eat anything and still weigh the same as me (he's a few inches taller too!) is depressing. I try to stick to high quality stuff, in Japan we have amazing restaurants which is good but it's hard to know exactly how much I'm having which is frustrating. Then there is the temptation of having dessert after dinner, having a chai latte or green tea latte from Starbucks and so on... so dangerous!0

Food's fine, it's the beers that are killer! But I plan for them. And if I didn't have my weekend, I'd go nuts!0

I find weekends the hardest as during the week, my time is very much set in a routine what with work etc.
But my weekends have no structure. I see where the flow takes me and usually end up out and about during the day. I keep forgetting to eat until very late in the evening / night.
If I worked at my job 7 days a week, I would be very fit and healthy! (And also totally boring and socially inept ... even more than I am now!!):bigsmile:0 -
weekends are hard. but i make due. its easy to stick to it during the week. but like many others, me and the man get lazy on the weekends. i allow my cheat day on saturdays so we both can order out or dine somewhere. but i still exercise and try to plan a little more activity to make up for it too. we will run errands or spend extra time at the ymca too. little things like he had to get new glasses at the mall. so instead of sitting and eating naughty things in the food court, we walked around a lot and window shopped. so just the extra walking alone helps. i want to make my changes part of my life too. if i want to sleep in, i will. if i want to sit home at night and watch movies, i will. i just plan some kinda activity that day that is off my butt too.0

set patterns go out the window at the weekend but I do get to do things like extra long dog walks to balance out a little. I also camp in better weather but tend to avoid the gym. As weekends will always involve some eating out or take a ways and maybe a drink or two, I think I need to restrict myself a bit more during the week so I can let loose a little more at the weekends as calories over the week averaged out work just as well as doing it daily! Not that I have been doing that so I need to get myself into gear.0

I try and give myself one day a week to indulge..can't be on it 100% all the time, or I go nuts.0

I find weekends easier because I don't have to stick to any sort of plan. In the week, I get home around 4:30 with a million things to try to do in the short space of time between then and dinner. Weekends, I can just sit down and do whatever comes to mind, being relaxed make my motivation go up. When I'm stressed, I just panic and give up.0

Weekends are harder for me since everyone is home and we enjoy having all our meals together from breakfast to dinner with all the kids. We normally go out quite a bit as well on weekends and enjoy brunch out after church on Sundays. I just try to watch myself, but don't deprive my self on weekends as well. I do really well through the week with no problems. Works well for me.0

Definately weekends are tough... I can easily waste a week of sticking to a plan, eating right, by blowing it on the weekend. Then end up having to spend the next week trying to "undo" the damage! It stinks! Now, got to go make my jalapeno popper grilled cheese sandwich I saw on the foodnetwork!0

It's easier for me on weekends because:
- I can cook almost everything I eat, so I'm more in control
- I have more time to workout (so if I go over the top, I can work those calories off)
- I am going out of the house (for shopping, walks, meeting people) so I am busy with not eating, because I do other stuff
- my friends are not people that get into fast foods, so they don't drag me to places with no healthy choices; no temptations during weekends0 -
Everyday is tough when I still have to cook for the rest of the family and watch them eat it.0

Do you know at the moment I am not tempted to eat anything whether it is chocolate or sugary. I think mainly because I am working nights....so I leave my house at 2pm GMT and I dont tend to get back home until ten thirty. This weekend it has left me feeling so drained that I only wish to eat fruity things or something that has a great deal of water or juice in it. However, normally I do want chocolate and things though.0
