MFP Calories burned numbers accurate?

How accurate are these estimates that come up in the EXERCISE tab?

I have found them inacurate compared to my HRM. I usually burn more than what the estimates say. Some have found them to over estimate.
  • I find them inaccurate as well. Because I have a treadclimber and the calories that I burn are certainly not what this says. So I manually put the calories burned in myself.

My HRM says I burn more than MFP gives me. Although sometimes it's not too far off.

How do you do this? I added my own exercise and then the calories burned once and it did it but now it won't let me use it again. I can't figure it out.

I find the MFP calculation to be WAY over on most things.
I use heart rate to figure out mine, with this site:
