When I had surgery a year and a half ago for another more serious problem, my doctor offered to give me lipo on my stomach and I declined. He needed to take fat from one part of my body and graft it into another, but I wouldn't let him touch my tummy. It was my goal to work it off on my own.

I still have loose skin, but I have two beautiful kids and I'm proud of the loose skin. I want to keep it.

I've never thought about it. I'm sure that once I lose all of the weight, I'll need... something. But I may just keep it, because it's my badge of honor. Maybe I won't be so nostalgic once I finally hit my goal, but right now, I think I wouldn't do anything.

I mentioned to someone I wanted a tummy tuck. He told me my lower abs weren't bad  He told me to get the ab wheel...and guess what ?! Using that simple tool really works on me! I'm loving the way I'm toning up!

Ok...here goes...for those that think that "I'm gonna get a flat tummy naturally" and "work out to get a flat tummy"....here are the facts...if you have poor elasticity in your skin and you have a child or dramatic weight loss, you can spend 24 hours a day in the gym and you will have sagging skin. A tummy tuck removes skin, not fat...with that being said..what would I do for a tummy tuck??? Borrow from my retirement...that's what I did in 2009 after losing 130 pounds and maintaining it for two years..l took a loan from my retirement and had a lower body lift and I would do it all over again!!! After kicking cancers *kitten* in 2011/2012 I got pregnant, had my post cancer miracle baby and now I need to lose weight again...however, I would have the surgery allllllll over again because damn it, it was totally worth it...I busted my *kitten* to lose that weight and that was my reward to myself :)

I wouldn't have one, I'm not in to getting invasive surgery unless my life depended on it. I had life saving surgery in Nov 2012, not a pleasant experience. Therefore, I would not opt for surgery for vanity alone.

Disclaimer - This is just my opinion.

Why don't you just tone up instead? Surgery is never the way to go unless it's for health emergencies. At least that's my opinion.

I'd eat a Klondike bar for a tummy tuck.

My insurance would cover a tummy tuck cause I've had two c sections. but because I've had two c sections I choose not to do it. don't need any more surgeries.

For me the question is 'What would I do to cover the cost of my breast augmentation?' Things I am not proud of, that's what.

I bust my *ss every day for my daycare, working long hours and overtime....to pay for mine. It was well worth it, and I'd do it again if I needed to. Mine was done for medical reasons, not purely cosmetic. The results are worth it, but the pain was crazy!!

I would do virtually ANYTHING short of killing a loved one or losing my partner. I would steal, kill, debase myself in unbelievable ways... I don't care. I'm saving up for a body lift when I reach my goal weight (still have over a hundred lbs to go, so hopefully I'll have enough!!)

Start saving, get credit, whatever you gotta do. I got one two years ago and it's the best thing I've ever done for myself.

There are certain amounts of skin that simply CANNOT be toned up. When someone like myself (over 300 lbs in the beginning) eventually gets down to their healthy goal weight, unless they are supremely luck, they will likely have lots of flabby skin. We're not talking about little jigglies here and there. I'm talking serious amounts of skin that exercise can't do much for.

Even if I wanted a tummy tuck, which I don't, I would only get a mini tummy tuck. The full tummy tuck is far too dangerous. But I'm hopeful that I'll be fine with exercise. I have had 3 c-sections but after my first two I had no problem getting a flat stomach again, so for now I wouldn't do anything for one.

I'm not trying to be rude but you're so wrong, girl. A mini is a waste of money. A full s the only way to go. Also, a mini's scar is just as long.

I have 70 more lbs to lose and I pray and hope that my skin shrinks back. I haven't had kids but I am 29 years old. I try to moisturize my tummy, brush it, and try any suggestions I have found to avoid loose skin.

IIf I was to have loose skin I would sell everything in my house and sleep on the floor forever for a tummy tuck to get rid of the excess skin.

I think because I am young I still have a chance for my skin to bounce back, so I wouldn't want a tuck, plus I am deathly afraid of needles and knives. It just wouldn't be for me! I've been looking at laser lipo lately though. I think if I could lose 20 more lbs, I wouldn't feel guilty treating myself to laser lipo. Since I plan that losing the weight will take me about 6 months or so, if I start saving today I will have the $4500 it would cost for my thighs and my hips which are taking the longest to join me in my weight loss success. I had already lost 31 lbs before joining up with MFP, so I'm at my 43 lbs lost mark, and I just want to lose another 23 to 28 more (total 140 or 135). I think I will be really happy by then!
