Hey
I've lost 43lbs since Dec 31 and a fair bit of that on MFP. Short of going back in time, it was quite hard to get my head around how much heavier I was - a bit like how you often can't really remember pain.
Well, just to see what it felt like, I put the equivalent of my weight loss in bags of flour into a supermarket basket. Gosh! It's one thing arm curling 20kg, I would have thought it a nightmare if i had to carry that around every waking second... But that's what I did, day in day out. No wonder exercise seemed such an enemy at the time...
So if you don't think you've lost 'much', put whatever you've lost into a basket and just carry it to the end of the aisle and back...
Sure made me appreciate how much our bodies will thank us for the weight loss never mind all the other benefits.

Yeah I like to compare it to my kids. I've lost my son and half of my daughter.0

They had the contestants to that challenge last week on The Biggest Loser ..they had to carry their weight all over again in the bags ..and drop off each weight that they lost during the weeks they were there, then they had to throw the rest in the big ditch .. for good!0

I've lost almost exactly the same weight as you and started almost exactly at the same time, scary
I so agree though. I don't know how my body managed to lug around so much extra weight. Exercise was a NIGHTMARE to start with... I could just run 1k with a stop. Now I'm running 10k non-stop and even after 45 minutes I can still hold a conversation to the person next to me... WHILE running.
The transformation has been incredible and journey was amazing. With my new lifestyle I really can't see my body ever having to carry around any extra weight ever again0 -
I did this when I hit the 20lbs of mark. I went to the grocery and carried 2 -10lb bag of potato's down the isle, 1 in each hand. I was like WOW!0
