Insanity...worth it?

Just as the title asks. I watched the infomercial this morning. I will struggle to afford it with the wedding coming up, and don't want to spend that much (£100) for it to be a 'fad'....but the infomercial totally sucked me in. Are the results really that good? Has anyone bought it and thought it a waste? Thanks x

Anything gets results if you train hard enough and eat right.

I'm assuming you don't have a gym membership because it's much more than $100 over the course of a few months. In which case I would get a good DVD program like Insanity to help you. Although I prefer P90X to be honest. Although Body Beast training will give the best fat loss results, especially for women.

If money is an issue, there's always ways around that. ;) My DVDs and digital files were "gifts" from fellow workout buddies. Realistically, if you did a workout, any kind of workout, as hard as you can, for an hour a day, you WILL get results.

Im loving it but wouldnt pay full price. If you look on eBay you can get it much cheaper, although you wont be able to get the t-shirt at the end.... paying an extra £50 for a t-shirt is not really worth it.

EBay is not much cheaper..only ten pounds. los, I do have gym but it's a cheap gym. £14 per month and includes swimming - I used to spend £12 per month taking my daughter swimming so only actually costs me £2 per month! It isn't a fab gym, very basic, no free weights etc x I wish one of my friends had it to borrow but it seems a more popular usa thing...sigh.

Insanity is worth it IF you got knees like Robocop or if you are already in great shape, if your a little overweight yes it gives great results but it will also destroy your knees
  • I have insanity and p90x. Insanity obviously leans more on the cardio side of things while you will get ripped fast, p90x will give you more strength with weight lifting moves in the long run.
I love both but would highly recommend insanity if you want results faster. It is extremely tough and you need to make sure your diet is in check when performing these workouts or you will see no results obviously and will be too fatigued to continue with their program.
P90x has really helped me become stronger on my pull-ups when it first came out. I always struggled with them and now I have no problem performing them in the gym.
Insanity is worth it. Just don't waste your money on their beach body supplements they try to make you buy for recovery. I used regular whey protein and some creatine for recovery and I did fine.
People need to keep in mind though that insanity has no beginners videos. It simply throws you into the action and you have to do your best to keep up.

Wow...I had no idea it was so expensive. Check Craigslist or Amazon for used copies. I would not, at this point, pay that much for an exercise video.
