Questions regarding calorie intake/burning

Hello! My name is Izzy and here are a few stats before I ask for assistance.

I'm 26, weighing 227 pounds @ 5'3.
I just completed day 4 of Insanity and currently using myfitnesspal app to track my calorie intake.
My goal weight is 150, with a suggested (per myfitnesspal) 1920 calorie intake.

It's currently recording that 40mins of Insanity is burning 839 calories.
I'm eating breakfast, lunch and dinner with about 1-2 snacks in between.

I'm concerned that...

a.) That I may not be taking in enough calories (currently depending on the day 1174-800 intake after the exercise)

b.) The calories I'm burning(per myfitnesspal) from Insanity are incorrect

Any & all assistance, feedback and tips are appreciated!

    Get a hrm for accurate results. I have a bodymedia fit armband and it is totally awesome. It has helped me because it lets you know how many calories you burn throughout the day another good one in the polar ft4 monitor
