Weight loss has stopped!! HELP!

I have been using MFP since august last year and so far have lost a total of 18kg which I am extremely proud of
The only thing that has been happening now is my weight has stopped and isn't budging anywhere. I am aware of plateau's as I have experienced them a few times before but now I feel that as I am getting towards to end phase of my weight loss goal it is becoming a stubborn problem of my body in wanting to let go of the last remaining weight.
I am only 12kg from my goal and have been losing weight steadily of half a kilo to a kilo each week and I do all the right things.
I just want to know if I am doing anything wrong or if there is something else I should be doing or could be doing like using weightloss supplements, shakes, buying weights;etc.

Maybe recalculate your TDEE to see if you are where you need to be?
You can use MFP's #s, just be aware that MFP does expect you to eat your exercise calories back. Redo your #s and pick 0.5 or 1lb/loss and also the correct activity level. Don't pick sedentary just because you hope to lose faster. The closer you get to your goal weight, the slower your progress will be...and that's okay. Just keep at it
Or, If you want, check out this link by MFPer Heliotsdan - It'll give you a detailed walkthrough (with pictures even) on finding your TDEE and calculating what you should be eating.

Yes, this is can all be overwhelming and complicated , but you are more than welcome to ask questions on the post.
One of the things that I have found that has been one of the best methods for me to get fit is to understand fitness. To understand where all these figures, etc come from.
The good thing is once you get the hang of it - it is something you'll be aware of constantly and you'll get a better understanding about your eating habits.
So I HIGHLY suggest making the effort to take every chance to educate yourself. Even if you don't end up going with any of these methods, calculations, etc - at least you understand what they are, where others are coming from, and maybe they will still be able to help you figure out what is best for you.0 -
Yes, I exercise 5 days a week.
I walk at a fast pace for 40 minutes and sometimes combine some light jogging and I also use a crosstrainer for upto 20 min. I am working upto using it for 30min.0 -
I'll be the first to admit that I am not 100% upto speed with my knowledge of losing weight as this is the first time I have successfully lost weight.
All I know is that what I have been doing so far is working so maybe you are right and I need a little bit more knowledge as I get towards the end of my goal.

No problem I've been trying to lose weight since my early teens so this has been a super long road for me..lol. And yeah, definitely look into things - the forums have a load of info, as well as the link to the group I gave you. Never hurts to learn even if it ends up not being something you apply to your own fitness goals
