I need some opinions on calorie intake and exercise!!

I need to know if it would be healthy to eat 1200-1400 calories a day while exercising 4.5-5.5 hours a day???
No I'm not just jumping into it, I'm doing this over a period of 12 weeks.
I was just wondering what you guys thought!!
Should I eat more or stay the same?
Should I work out less or stay the same?
I'm 17, and I'm trying to lose some weight.. In a healthy way.

Short answer, no. If you're morbidly obese and in risk of heart disease, possibly.0

Not really. And, unless you really know what you are doing, you are likely to be risking injury by suddenly increasing your exercise that much.0

4.5-5.5 hours a day? Unless you're a professional athlete, that's extreme overkill. You're more likely to injure yourself from over-exercise if you go that long.
I do 1.5-2 hours a day and that's already at the upper limit of what most trainers would recommend. And that's only because I do competitive sport training and have other work related fitness targets.
I would stick to doing less exercise and keeping your calories lower. I know what it's like to want to lose the weight quickly, but you're not going to do yourself any favours if you injure yourself in the process.0 -
I'm curious as to why you're exercising 4.5-5.5 hours daily... Do you mean a week??0

I mean daily and I mean that I'm working up to it and it is a rough estimate of different exercises.
I'm not starting out with 4.5 hrs, I am staring out with 30 minutes or so. Which is what I'm use to doing.0 -
As you have a decent amount of weight to lose, a lower amount of calories may be ok for a short while but after a few weeks, set yourself at a goal of losing 2lb a week. Build up to exercise and there is no need to do 4 hours - it is counterproductive. If you lose weigh too quickly you run the risk of loss of LBM and of loose skin, plus there is more chance of 'falling off the wagon' if your restrict too much.0
