What are your essential weight lifting exercises for a full body work out? I am wanting to make a full body work out routine but also hoping to make it as short as possible. I need to hit all areas, so this is what I was thinking:
Squats with barbell
Dead lifts
bent over barbell row
1 arm dumbbell row
chest press
Triceps dips
Skull crushers
Bicep curls
Shoulder press
Upright barbell row
Crunches
Russian twists
How does this sound?? I only have dumbells, barbell and a bench. Thanks for any advice and I know lunges are good but I deliberately left them out because they take too long. Ta!

something like the Stronglifts routine or Starting strength should work - workout A for Stronglifts 5x5 is squat, bench press and barbell row; workout B is squat Overhead press and deadlift -
anything else is just supplementary exercises.
Oh - and it shouldn't take much more than 40 mins including warm-up.0 -

That covers most of the bases.
Personally, I would also include a dip and some kind of twisting movement (side bends/woodchoppers/twists) for completeness but that's by no means necessary.0 -
Definitely Stronglifts or Starting Strength. Someone listed SL; SS is squat, deadlift, bench, military press, and clean.
Either program will hit every muscle in your body.0 -

As commented above - a lot of those are redundant if you are wanting to make it as quick as possible.
5x5 is my current routine of choice.0 -
A squat
A press
A pull
A couple accessory movement-depends on goals0
