Review of BodyMedia Fit Armband + MyFitnessPal

Hi everyone,

I am excited to have bought the BodyMedia Fit Armband-Link with the promo code offered to me as a MyFitnessPal customer. I thought other MyFP customers might want some better insight on how this gadget works before dropping the money on it. I am not being paid by either company, but I do like a writing outlet that is helpful to both myself and others.

    Did you all see that they will be having a bodymedia band come out in august that can track heart rate. and will be waterproof.

    Looks like they are going to be around for awhile.

    I really enjoyed your review. I have been contemplating getting the BodyMedia Fit Link armband. What type of material is the armband? Is it elastic or something where it can fit any arm size?

    The armband isn't elastic; they come in small, medium, and large. The website tells you what arm circumfrence each band fits, so all you have to do is measure your arm and choose the appropriate size.

    The armband actually is elastic. I have both the small and medium and they are adjustable with velcro.

    Yay for the new one coming out in August! I've worn my Fit Link for almost a year now and couldn't live without it. It keeps me honest and accountable. Love that it's now integrated with MFP and so many other apps, too.

    I ADORE mine. <3 was shocked at how much higher my TDEE is compared to my original estimate

    I just bought mine and the band is elastic type material. It is stretchy and adjusts with a velcro closure. My arms are currently like 13/14 inches. When I bought mine it did not ask me about an armband size. Good luck.
