hello all

I have been dieting since the 8/4/10. The first month was great the weight just dropped once I started to eat alot better, but in the last 2 weeks things have slowed to a complete halt. I don`t even want to weigh myself at the moment to save myself from disappointment is this normal.I don`t understand why as I am doing the same things that made me lose weight initially.

not changing things could be the issue. It is recommended that you change your workout routine every 4-6 weeks as your body gets use to exercises you will burn less calories doing the same thing.

After you lost weight did you readjust your caloric intake as the less you weigh the less you get to eat if your goal remains the same, that being said, you may need to eat more depending on the situation.
Are you eating your exercise calories?
How much weight do you have to loose?
What is your weekly loss set at? Is it too high? may want to change to 1.5 pounds if currently at 2.
How are you recording your calories burned through exercise? estimating or using a heart rate monitor?

I would suggest to eat more. MFP already sets you up with a caloric deficit, of 1000 cals per day, if your goal is to loose 2 pounds per week. If you are coming in under that by 500 you are in a deficit of 1500/day, which may have caused your metabolism to slow down, making it harder to loose weight.

Try increasing your calories by 100/day for the first week, then another 100/day on the second week until you are able eat all of your calories as per your MFP goal. Good luck.
