39 miles... to end breast cancer

Every 3 minutes, a woman in the US is diagnosed with breast cancer. It is very likely that a woman you know has had to hear the news that she will need chemo, she may need a mastectomy, she may not have found it time, or even worse: she may not be able to afford treatment.

In 2006 my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer… right after my mom had finished her chemo and radiation (for sarcoma cancer) – it was a tough year. They are both currently cancer free, but there are many men & women who are not as lucky. Last October, we lost my grandmother to undiagnosed bone cancer. This April, I will be walking 39.3 miles in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, so that many more women & men will have a fighting chance at also being a “Survivor”! In order for me to participate, I need to raise a minimum $1800 in order to participate. Please consider making a donation in honor of someone you know and love who has been touched by breast cancer. Your help to reach my goal will allow me to do my part to help those less fortunate.

As i side note: I really want to do the walk, just to complete a marathon! The fact that is benefits something so important is a huge bonus!
