Help, I'm stuck....

I've been losing 1-2lbs a week consistently since I started this, in October. All of a sudden (starting 3 weeks ago) I can't seem to lose at all. I haven't lost since I hit 20lbs and MFP recalculated my calories. I am always slightly under my daily allowance, after exercise (usually eating about 1100 a day, burning 200-500 calories a day.) One week a doubled my cardio hoping to kickstart, but I gained 2lbs that week, lost 1lb the next and have maintained the last 2 weeks. Getting super frustrated..... any input would be greatly appreciated.

Can't see your diary to be sure, but my guess from what you posted is that you're not eating enough. 1200 a day is considered the bare minimum for women, and if you're not eating back your calories burned through exercise, then you're really netting low. Could explain the stall in weight loss - your body is trying to hang onto every little bit because it's not getting enough fuel.

Food is fuel - I upped my calories after losing a bit and stalling out and have had great success ever since. Using the tools and info in this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 - I reset my calorie goal to 1800 a day and have been losing weight, fat and inches ever since. In fact I hit my goal weight (actually came in .4lbs below goal!) just this morning.

Read the thread, great info there, and the tools you need to figure out how much you should be eating, and how to manually set your goals here at MFP. Check it out.

My guess is you have stalled because you are not eating enough. Have you seen the roadmap thread? You should calculate your BMR and TDEE and go from there. It is typical, following months of VLCD to plateau because you are most llikely eating below your BMRm which causes your body to stop functioning properly (since BMR is the minimum required calories to support healthy organ function).

plus, it seems you are close to your goal - it always goes slower the closer you get.

Thank you all! My hubby has been telling me that for weeks, but I wasn't really buying it. Eating more scares the crap out of me, but I'll give it a shot. I can't handle many more weeks of gaining or maintaining.

@ Amy, I just changed my setting so my diary is now public.
