TOO MANY CALORIES

I've only been doing this for a week now so I apologize if this is a silly question. I have lost 2lbs and my daily calorie goal increased. My goal is to lose 1lb per week and I exercise at least 4 days a week.
Shouldn't my calorie goal decrease as my weight decreases?

Your goal is to low, go to 1.5 lbs per week0

Are you letting the program here determine your daily calories?0

What may have happened was you entered in your exercise. When you enter exercise you get more calories to eat to maintain your goal weight loss through a caloric deficit.0

OOH. I see. If I set my weight loss goal for only 1lb per week and I have calorie deficits and exercise calories, MFP automatically adjusts (increases) my calorie goal for the next day to keep me on target with the 1lb per week goal. Correct?0

Generally yes, as you get smaller your base metabolic rate will go down and your calorie budget will get smaller. What you described is ususual. Any ideas guys?Shouldn't my calorie goal decrease as my weight decreases?
Nothing wrong with 1lb a week BTW, patience is a virtue and that should be a very attainable, reasonable and healthy program for you. I'm on 1lb a week now and have been for quite a while.0 -
