Friends?

Hello,

I have been on MFP for awhile and have started to review posts/etc from people. I see that there are some very supportive and awesome people out there and am interested in having some 'friends' online to help me on those days where I'm not making great choices. I'm still the one accountable, but would love a few people who watch the ol' food diary and tell me when I'm acting like a fool with my choices.

Any takers?

Hi, I have lots of friends and some give great support but sometimes I just need a good kick in the butt, you can add me if you like
  • I would love that too. How do we add friends, I'm new to this site.
  • Would love to add you! We all need a little support/motivation/accountability :)

You can add me if you'd like. I just peeked at your food diary, and I'm no expert, but if I were you, I'd increase your protein intake. I just increased mine and I FINALLY saw some results! Otherwise, you're eating some good food. Some others may tell you that you're not getting enough calories. Either way, keep at it!

More the merrier! I enjoy criticizing other people's diets. (Note the emphasis on <<other people's>>) Kidding, actually. It's amazing how if you get into a discussion topic such as "Do calories really count" or "best approach to dieting" you almost immediately get people divided into camps who proceed to shout at each other, with the original post subject or question quickly lost in the kerfuffle.
Personally I find that almost religious fervor about staked positions to be unpleasant. Supportive MFP friends are a whole different matter. I'd be happy to add you as a friend.

    To add a friend:

Click on their username (under their picture) - you will be taken to a screen which says, "Send message" or "Add as a friend" click one of those and they will get a friend request or a message.

p.s. you can view "Help" at the top of any page to answer site questions.
