Any "skinny fat" girls out there?

Hi everyone,

I am not sure this is the right place for me to be, but I am looking for a forum to join and have used the app on and off for the past couple years so thought why not give it a go!

I'm what I'd describe as 'skinny-fat', people always say I'm slim, which I am, but I know that I am not in the slightest bit fit and have no muscle definition, core or upper body strength. Last time my body fat was checked (this was a few years ago) I was around 29 - 30%, which is the upper end of the healthy scale. My BMI is at the lower end (18.9).

My goal is through cleaner eating, and exercise, including weight training, to decrease my body fat to nearer 20%, increase strength and my overall fitness.

I am also, if I am being honest, worried that the numbers on the scale will increase as I gain muscle. I know this should not be a big deal as really the primary concern and goal is to lose a few cm off certain problem areas, hopefully decrease cellulite etc but I just have a thing with the numbers not going up! Sounds silly in writing but its true.

So I guess I am maybe looking for a buddy who is not necessarily trying to drop 20lbs but instead decrease their body fat %, and get 'leaner', tone up their problem areas... also it would be great to hear from people who have maybe gone from skinny fat / average to toned and if they have changed weight as well as lost inches?
