Hey guys,
I was just wondering what weights you use for bent over barbell rows and one arm dumbbell rows? This question is primarily some at women since I am a 5ft5 20 year old girl, but is be interested to see what all you men out there do!
Also how much do you all squat? I do about 45 pounds and I find that quite hard lol.
Thank you for your input

BB row - 80#, 3 sets of 6 reps
Squat - it's been a while since I've done Back Squats (I'm doing New Rules of Lifting and they're not in my current stage) but front squats with an overhead press I do 50#, 3 sets of 8.0 -
Thanks for answering, I appreciate it!0

Bent over rows I use 20 lb dumbbells.
Squats I use 25 lb dumbbells.
ETA - 3 sets of 8 on each.0 -
I do 45 pounds squats 3 sets 16 reps
I do 70 pound bentover row 3 sets 16 reps0 -
1-arm rows: 20
Barbell rows: 50
Squats: 50 (I want to do more but don't have a spotter and want to be safe)0 -
barbell rows: 5x5 @ 65lbs (but I might deload to work on form)
squats: 5x5 @ 85lbs (up for 90lb tomorrow)
ETA: if anyone has a good form video for barbell rows with a sub 135lb row, I'd appreciate it!0 -
I one arm row 25 kg (55 lbs) dumbells, barbell row 70 kg (154 lbs) and squat around 100 kg (220 lbs) for 3 to 5 sets of 5 - 8 reps.
I am 5' 5" and weigh 156 lbs with 118 lbs lean mass.
Getting stronger takes time. I have been lifting heavy since July last year with previous heavy lifting experience on and off since I was 19.0 -
Last workout involving barbell rows was 40kg (88lbs) for 5x5. I don't know my max.
Last workout of squats was 55kg (121lbs) for 5 sets of 3. My current max is around 65-70kg (143-154lbs)0 -
single arm dumbbell row - 25 lbs, just started doing these though. Incline row - 30 lbs (might soon be upping this). Renegade row - typically 20, but my gym is kinda stupid and only has 20s in one area so I've been relegated to doing 15s for more reps lately
Back squat - I just upped it on the weekend to 90lbs x 5reps. My top before was 80 lbs for 10 reps, but on the weekend I couldn't find any 10 lb plates so rather than loading my bar up with 5s and 2.5 and looking dumb I went right for the 25s. I figured the girls a couple of racks over from me were doing 90 lb "squats" (aka not even parallel), I could do at least that and go ATG. And guess what, I did! Might go again tonight and see if I can replicate said experiment!0 -
Bentover rows I use a barbell - 45 lbs, 4 sets of 12 in a circuit. I also like the cable row machine, 45 - 65 lbs. Easier to keep good form for me. For squats I use the olympic bar, which is 45 lbs. 15 - 20 reps bar, then 55lbs 12 reps, 65 lbs 10 reps, then burn out with the bar again.0

Working weights are 70 lbs for rows and 135 for squats for 3 sets x 8-12. Idk maxes, I've not had the occasion or desire to find them out yet.0

I'm up to 50# (kettlebell) single arm bent over rows. I only do 3 reps of 5 with these though.0

Barbell bent over rows last time I did them was 4x4@80# I think. Dumbbell bent overs I'm doing 4x20@20each, but I think I was doing 70# total when I was doing lower reps. Squats last night I did 2x8@100#.0

Barbell rows, including 45lb weight of the bar, overhand grip 4-5 sets of a pyramid, goin from 95 (remember including bar weight of 45) 115, 125, 135.
I haven't really done dumbbell rows if you mean two handed, if single dumbbell row then 40-50ish, as for back squat (mine suck) 115ish, however my front squats hitting 125.
Deadlift in my working sets 185-195, in the lower strength reps 205-215
For bench I can do BB cause shoulder issues so DB BP flat maybe 35-45 ATM.0 -
BB row about 80-90
DB row 50
squats not allowed barbell so use dumbbells and use 30's right now
All exercises are 4x8 with little to no rests0 -
Barbell row -130
Squat with dumbells - 75
Squat with barbell - 2400 -

There's a girl at my gym who I watched pendlay rowing 135 as a warmup at 25 reps, then got into a work set where she got up to 170 for 5x.
Tiny girl too, I felt frail, because I'm around 180 for my work sets.0 -
BB row is around 135-185- depending on rep range.
Squat- I'm sitting work weights around 180-200- they aren't fun- but they are solid. Max rep is 225.
You can ALWAYS get stronger- never let a number scare you off- just keep adding weight.
Watched a girl today sled pressing 20 pounds (so 2 ten pound weights each side)... and I just.. I can't.
A sled press is the equivalent of STANDING UP- if you weigh over 100 pounds- and you can stand up- at no point should you have LESS than 25 or 45 pound plates on either side.
You are significantly stronger than you think.0 -
My last barbell row was 45kg (3x12) and my dumbell row was 16 kg (3x12) but I'm just using them as assistance - don't know what my heaviest would be now
Squat has been stuck at 75 for tooooo long (5,3,1). Haha 75 is the 1.0 -
Bent over row i use a barbell and currently lift 55 lbs
Squat 110 lbs0
