Is it cheating to track breastfeeding in the exercise log? Docs say breastfeeding burns an additional 500 cal. a day. I mean, that's great...but is it sissy of me to log it?

I just added it into my daily calories.0

My sister adds it into hers. I think you should add it.0

I think you should add it. It's not sissy because you need to make sure that you eat enough calories to produce milk!0

Some people log them as food, some people log them as exercise. It's definitely not sissy to log them... you need that extra energy. I log it as exercise and am continually losing weight.0

I agree you need to add it so then you can eat it back, if you don't then your milk supply will decrease. I only stopped logging mine because my little one is 18 months and only nurses once in the morning and once before bed. But since you have a new little squishy (that what I call the itty bitty ones) You are constantly nursing and should log it. Make sure you eat enough and congrats on your little one and choosing to BF :flowerforyou:0
