All I do is take broccoli florets and toss in olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder or any other salt-free spices (Mrs. Dash) and spray cookie sheet with olive oil spray and bake until browned. Yum Yum!

I do the same, though I usually use minced fresh garlic instead of powder.

    Tray,
    oven,
pile of any veg you like (carrots, cauliflower, courgettes, peppers, leeks, onions...) Don't bother with the oils/spays. Turns out fine without. Add ground pepper and some salt if you like.
    Works every time!

Or for a slightly different oriental twist: toss in crushed garlic and fresh red chilli pepper (optional) with a dash of dark soy sauce/ tamari and a dash of sesame oil. Bake until slightly browned and garnish with sesame seeds and fresh chopped spring onions (Green onions/scallions).

I preheat a baking sheet in an oven at 500 degrees. I cut the broccoli into large pieces and toss with sea salt, pepper, garlic powder, evoo and just a pinch of sugar. When the cookie sheet is preheated, I spread the broccoli out on it. It should sizzle. Bake for about 8 minutes at 500 degrees. This roasts and caramelizes the broccoli. It's delicious.

    P. S. You can leave out the sugar if you want. It helps with caramelization, but the broccoli will still be good without it.
