It's my birthday soon, so I thought a new game for the Wii should go on my list and what better way to combine it with my fitness approach than to get one that has a workout element? So... what do you all recommend?

I like the biggest loser workouts or just dance all 4 of them0

do the biggest loser workouts require stuff like hand weights etc?0

Just Dance ones are good for a laugh and burn cals without even thinking about it
Zumba Fitness 2 - great fun if you like Zumba
EA Sports Active 2 - proper cardio and resistance workouts - supplied with sensor for arm and leg, resistance band and HRM (although not particularly accurate)

I am loving Zumba and EA Active! I just got the original because it was cheaper than Active 2. My understanding is that the More Workouts just uses the original equipment, too. I also have Biggest Loser, but I like Active better. The Biggest Loser only has body weight exercises, no additional equipment required.
I also got a "calorie burn kit" that consists of a riser for the step so that it is a few inches of the ground, a resistance tube and weighted gloves. I only use the riser with step aerobics on the Wii Fit. If anyone knows of a stepping game, I would love to hear about it. I use the resistance tube instead of the band that came with EA Active, because it is stronger. And the gloves... They are only one pound, but they really add to the burn of any large arm movements. I use them for all games with arm movements, like boxing, and will probably start wearing them with Zumba once I have the moves down.
I will probably make Just Dance one of my rewards down the line.0 -
I love my wii fit plus. It allows me to choose each time if I just want some yoga, cardio, or strength training. I get on it every morning and make a choice based on what the rest of my day looks like (how much more time for exercise). What I like most is that I dont have to look up the calories I'm burning because it tells me at the end of my workout. I go to the graph and see how long I worked out, the type of exercises I did, and the calories I burned.0

I mainly work out on the wii when I can't get to the gym, but I found Wii Fit was great when I was heavier for working out. Now I tend to alternate between Exerbeat/EA Active 2/Zumba Core and Just Dance 4. I think the main thing is to have fun working out, so it doesn't feel like something you have to do, but something you want to do Hope this helps!0
