listing walking done at work as exercise

I work full at a busy restaurant full time. Should I log all the walking I do at work serving my tables? I walk alot carrying heavy trays and walk fast. Just curious if I should log this as exercise?

Pobably depends on what you have your basic activity level set to. If it's at sedentary, then yes. If it's higher, then no because they take that into account already.

yes. A small pedometer will help you track time, steps and distance. Lots of options out there. Look for a 2 or 3 axis model you can pin your pocket.

Id' invest in aFitbit and it will automatically adjust your steps for cals burned when you sync with MFP. It's well worth the $99 investment. You would set your activity level at sedentary and not log anything for exercise.

This ^^ I'd recommend setting your activity level based on it.

I hit a point at work where my activity level became HIGHLY variable. So I set my level to sedentary and used a pedometer app on my phone to determine the rest of it. It seemed to work fairly well. The calories "burned" varied by more than 400 per day.
