I just posted a reply to another thread about what keeps you motivated while running and it seems we all do the same thing... listen to music. So my question is: Whats YOUR favorite song(s) to run to?

I recently bought some old time classics and they are so fun for running and working out. I bought Brick House, Stayin' Alive from Saturday Night Fever, Walking in LA from the 80s, Fight For Your Right to Party by the Beastie Boys, Men in Black by Will Smith - all very fun and high energy.

Any Fat Boy Slim remix is a lot of fun to run too. My favorite is Kung Fu Fighting but When Doves Cry and the Beastie Boy's Intergalatic are really good remixes by Fat Boy Slim as well.

I have a lot of Kesha, a bit of Panic at the Disco (Time to Dance is GREAT). If you like dance and techno, try Sugababes and Girls Aloud, very popular English girl bands similar to Cascada.

I like running to old school funk and R&B (Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, the Jackson 5, etc.) but anything with a beat will do. Two of my favorite "psych up" songs of all time are "Further Again" by Staggered Crossing and "Starseed" by Our Lady Peace. If were ever to be introduced to music for a sporting event (boxing, MMA, etc.) I'd come out to Starseed for sure.

I can only run to house music so I have a playlist on my touch that is pure house. It keeps me moving and is so upbeat!

When I listen to music, the Beastie Boys, the Peacocks, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, and lots of punk rock gets me movin'. Lately I've been listening to audiobooks, especially on super long marathon training runs. I only listen to light, funny stuff. (Right now it's Chelsea Handler's book "Are you there Vodka? It's me Chelsea." which causes me to burst into random laughter in the middle of the run.)

Lately, I've been listening to Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Black Eyed Peas. My workouts last longer and I work harder when I've got something fun to listen too!

I LOVE this idea. I have been thinking about getting some kind of inspirational "You can do it!" thing to listen to, but Are you there Vodka? sounds so much better. I am laughing just at the title!

I listen to a bunch of different artists, but one song that I try to listen to every run is "Better Life" by Keith Urban. Its not a SUPER fast paced song, but it just really gets me going

I'm bumping this because it got a little old and I'm interested to hear what some people are adding now. I finally started working out listening to music regularly. I had NO idea what I was missing. It keeps me so revved up! I find myself going faster lately to Christina Aguilera's "Not Myself Tonight", Enrique Iglesia's "I Like It", and Chris Brown's "I Can Transform Ya".
