So Frustrated

When I started MFP i was eating 1200 cals/day and buring about 500 calories at the gym.I wasnt losing anythuing. Then I was told I wasnt eating enough so I changed my calories from 1200 to 1600/day. Still working out and not losing anything. What am I doing wrong??

Even at 1600 a day your probably on the low side of your food intake. Are you adding calories for exercise and what are you eating? Are you drinking plenty of water?

Losing one to two pounds/week is considered excellent when using MFP recommendations. Also, people need to stick with it for at least two months and then AVERAGE their weight loss over that time. I have not seen very many here whose weight loss is consistant. There will usually be variations from week to week. I personally have experienced a week when I did great but gained a half pound.

So...my advice is just be patient and look down the road a few months and stick with the plan.

    Good luck!

I am having the same problem. I am set for 1300 calories per day, I run 3-4 miles every other day..on my days off running, I'm at the gym doing some other cardio such as the elliptical and strength training. I normally burn 400-600 calories a day. I have only lost 4 pounds and can't out of this slump. I have been faithfully doing this since January...so if you find out let me know..thanks..
