blender for bulky vegetables

which blender is best (beside vitamix - its out of my budget) for blending bulky vegetables such as broccoli, celery, carrots etc.


I have an Oster which works fine for fruits/soft leafy greens but can't use any bulky vegetables like carrots/celery

    its just way more convenient that way, I leave early and in a hurry so I blend up my veggies (mainly kale, spinach, 1 fruit and a lemon) and take a giant smoothie on the ride, I have been making green smoothies for a few months now and love them for/with breakfast

    Another big reason is that my kids (8, 14) don't mind leafy green vegetables in their fruit smoothies at all (they especially love spinach) but WILL NOT eat them anyhow - raw or steamed or sauteed or however so I thought it would be a good idea to add other bulky veggies in their smoothies besides the leafy ones....

    Have you considered the Ninja? I use one and it pretty much liquifies everything, no matter which model, they are all pretty powerful.

    I also have a Ninja and it works very well. I love green smoothies.

    I would definitely recommend the Ninja! Affordable and like the others said, it is awesome!
