Giving up pop for Lent

Options
I was wondering if anyone else was giving up a food item for Lent. I don't drink soda often but I get one nearly every time I go out to eat. I also drink the 90 calorie cans of Coke with lunch occasionally. Hopefully just sticking to water will help me rid the extra sugars in my diet!

    Great, well done!

I'm doing three things for lent:

Giving up putting salt on my food (I LOVE salt, so this will be a total killer)
Trying to get at least half an hour of exercise five days a week
Cutting my alcohol intake to 11 units (so about 4 pints) a week

Fingers crossed, and good luck to you!

Wow. I don't salt my food often but some things I almost always want to salt. Good job!

I'm giving up diet drinks and have always been a big water drinker. Now I plan on drinking more water and only water! I'm from the South where everyone LOVES sweet tea...........personally I hate it! At least I don't have a crutch to fall back on!

I'm giving up eating out. Even Starbucks. Hopefully it will also help me save a little money.

I went out to eat last night after Lent and wanted a fountain so badly. Water with extra lemon was good though lol

Good Luck to everyone! I'm giving up Diet Coke (which I drink too much of) and cutting back TV viewing to one evening a week. Hopefully this will make me seek more activity.

I completely cut out all soda 2 weeks ago now, but I suppose I could say that it's for Lent, haha. I would love to try cutting out pasta, as I do love the stuff, but I don't think I'd be able to!

I don't really want one unless someone near me is having one. Like at work today a girl just opened a can of soda and just the fizz the carbonation sound made me want it lol
